7th Grade Football Media Report 10/02/2018

7th Grade Gold “B” team: We came out to a tough Howell team and played a great game that remained 0-0 until late in the 4th quarter where we had a great drive and scored the only touchdown of the game along with the 2pt making it 8-0. Our offensive standouts were Julian Cazares with 60 yards rushing and a TD, Ayden Serena 20 Yards Receiving, Casen Williams 2 pt conversion, and Zach Rangel 10 yards rushing. Our defensive standouts were Casen Williams with 4 tackles, Tyler Salinas 4, Cory Massey 3, Kadin Resendiz 3, Dylan Ramirez 2, Sergio Hernandez 2, Maverick Cortes 1, Ethan Dietrich 1, and Jacob Bargas 1.

7th Grade Black “A” team: “A” team faced a tough opponent in the Howell team and played an excellent four quarters of football. It was back and forth the entire game with great plays on offense and defense but it was the final seconds of the game when we had a huge offensive play that allowed Jayce Campos to score and take the lead to give us the victory over Howell. It was an incredible team effort in the victory. With 317 total yards on offense our offensive standouts were Ta Moo 109 yards 1 TD, Sean Laguna 96 yards 2 TD, Jayce Campos 35 yards 1 TD, Marquise Farrow 59 yards, Jacob Salas 18 yards. Our defensive standouts were Ruben Villarreal 5 Tackles, Pedro Chavez 4, Jacob Salas 3, Sean Laguna 3, Cesar Morales 3, Cody Kemper 1, Emilio Zavala 1, Misael Goebel 1.

8th grade B Team

The 8th Grade B Travis Football team defeated the Howell Wildcats 12-0 on Tuesday Evening at Sandcrab Stadium. Offensively, the Fiddlers were led by RB Ehler Moo who scored the only offensive TD of the game, a 75 yard TD run in the 3rd quarter. Tihso Paw intercepted a pass and scored a TD late in the 4th quarter to seal the deal for a 12-0 win. The defensive standouts who helped pitch the shut out for the second straight week included Linebacker Tyson Bonuz, Cornerbacks Tihso Paw, Riley Henderson and Ian Cobos, and Linebackers Bryan Mendez and Isaac Torres. The Fiddlers are now 3-1 on the season and 3-0 in district play and will play the Stroman Vipers next week on Tuesday at Memorial Stadium in Victoria at 5:00. 8th Grade A Team

The 8th Grade A Travis Football team lost to the Howell Wildcats 6-42 on Tuesday Evening at Sandcrab Stadium. Offensively, the Fiddlers had a tough night against the Wildcat defense but one of the bright spots included a 95 yard TD run by QB Aaron Martinez and 160 yards rushing. The few defensive standouts included Linebackers Erik Lozano and Alex Luna. The Fiddlers are now 1-2 on the season and 1-1 in district play and will play the Stroman Vipers next week on Tuesday at Memorial Stadium in Victoria at 6:15.
